Colorless and Transparent – Enabling Pure Color and High Clarity

HF-8618-3 is a colorless transparent liquid. After curing, the coating maintains excellent clarity and purity. Key benefits include:

  • Ideal for light-colored and clear topcoats: The colorless curing agent does not interfere with the final color, ensuring accurate color reproduction and visual clarity for white, pastel, bright colors, and clear varnish systems.

High Gloss and Blush Resistance – Superior Surface Finish

HF-8618-3 delivers outstanding gloss after curing, creating a mirror-like surface that enhances the overall quality of the flooring. It also provides good resistance to amine blush, ensuring a uniform, haze-free finish even in humid conditions.

Chemical Resistance and Mechanical Performance – Balancing Aesthetics and Durability

Beyond appearance, HF-8618-3 offers excellent corrosion resistance and physical properties:

  • Good chemical resistance: Suitable for harsh environments such as chemical storage tank linings, secondary containment, and laboratory flooring.

  • Fast tack-free time and hardness build: At 25°C, thin-film set time is only 2–4 hours, with Shore D hardness reaching 80–85 in 24 hours, allowing quick return to service.

  • Moderate gel time: Gel time of 20–40 minutes (100g mixed at 25°C) balances working time with construction pace, suitable for large-area applications.

Recommended Ratio and Typical Applications

HF-8618-3 has an active hydrogen equivalent weight of 114 g/eq. When used with a liquid epoxy resin with an EEW of approximately 190, the recommended dosage is 60 phr, ensuring ease of formulation and good compatibility.

Typical applications include:

  • High-solids epoxy flooring topcoats (self-leveling, thin-film, mortar systems)

  • Clear varnishes and light-colored topcoats

  • Decorative grouts and tile fillers

  • Chemically resistant tank linings and secondary containment coatings
