Balanced Cure Speed & Outstanding Chemical Resistance for Industrial Epoxy Systems
Category:Industry News Source:Highfar New Materials Release Time:2026-10-20 View:13

Industrial chemical‑resistant epoxy projects always face a frustrating trade‑off.

Many fast‑cure epoxy hardeners deliver quick strength build‑up, yet come with an extremely short pot‑life, leaving formulators and applicators little working time for large‑area coating and mortar jobs. Conversely, hardeners offering longer open‑time often struggle with slow curing under low‑temperature conditions, resulting in insufficient cross‑linking, compromised hardness and poor resistance against acids, solvents and alcohols. The end result? Coating softening, surface erosion, costly rework and unexpected production downtime.

What if you no longer need to compromise between pot‑life, low‑temperature curing and chemical performance?

Meet HF‑8432, our modified aliphatic amine epoxy curing agent.

Formulated to solve the above‑mentioned industry pain points, HF‑8432 achieves fast mechanical strength development both at ambient and low temperatures, while maintaining a reasonably long pot‑life compared with conventional fast‑cure hardeners. Once fully cured, the epoxy matrix delivers exceptional resistance to solvents, acids and alcohols, perfectly fitting demanding working environments.

Key Performance Highlights

Balanced reactivity: Fast strength gain under ambient & low‑temperature conditions, gel time 25‑35 mins (150g mix @25 ℃), avoids overly narrow working window

Superior chemical resistance: Cured systems stand up well to solvents, acids and alcohols, ideal for chemical‑resistant coatings, mortars and secondary containment linings

Multi‑role capability: Works not only as main hardener, but also as an efficient accelerator for aliphatic & cycloaliphatic hardeners in flooring & coating formulations

High mechanical performance: Shore D hardness 80‑85 after 7‑day cure at 25 ℃, builds robust mechanical properties

Practical formulation parameters: Amine value 350‑380 mgKOH/g; viscosity 200‑400 mPa·s @25 ℃; active hydrogen equivalent:88 g/eq; recommended phr:46 (EEW=190)

Typical Application Scenarios

• Chemical‑resistant epoxy coating & mortar systems

• Secondary containment linings

• High‑solid industrial flooring and coating formulations (as accelerator component)

Packaging & Storage

Available in 200 kg galvanized steel drum or 1000 kg IBC tote. Store indoors under room temperature; shelf‑life 12 months.

Safety Reminder: HF‑8432 is corrosive. Please refer to our complete MSDS for full handling, PPE and hazard information before use.
